Hey there, for this weeks blog post I have a sad yet interesting topic to talk about. Is about an event that happened last week and is something I will surely remember for the rest of my life. Ok, lets cut to the chace, this weeks blog post is about my broken arm. I will try to tell the whole story and tell interesting details about this catastrophic event. Don’t judge me if there is not too much writing, have in mind I can only write with one hand.
This whole story began on Wednesday afternoon. I got ready for my downhill lesson at El Bosque, as I do every Wednesday afternoon. When I got there we started practicing some jumps, so I got to the starting point to gain some speed for the first jump. I started pedaling as hard as I could, I felt that that pedaling was very very strong. When I was applying the strength for one of those pedals I had a problem in my rear derailleur and I felt that my body ejected towards the front of the bike.My body impacted a tree, my friends and coach helped me get into the car of one of my friends mom.
Angela, the name of my friends mom, headed with me to the hospital. When I got there, the doctor took me some x ray exams. The doctor said that I got my radius fracture at the level of the wrist, and that a surgery was needed for the bone to get fixed. The doctor told me that the surgery was going to be done de day after at noon. After experiencing the most painful night of my life I got my surgery done. The doctor inserted one platelet and six screws on my bone. He said the expecting time of recuperation would be of 2 months. I thank God everything was ok, things could have gone worse.
